Tip-toeing back

Blogging is a powerful tool. It not only connects you with people across the world who you would normally have no contact with, it also motivates you to get off your a$$ and do something interesting that people will want to read about.

Part of the reason I was so bummed out this weekend was that I couldn't go to the Turkey Trot I had signed up for as a volunteer. I had been really looking forward to it, even pictured myself cheering people on at the water station. Local races are the best. But my legs groaned at the very thought and after another late night, I was dead to the world yesterday morning.

After blogging yesterday that I needed to stop mopping around and exercise, today I actually did it. I spent 15 tentative minutes on the exercise bike with no pain. What that did for my morale was miraculous. After I got off the bike, my shin complained weakly for a bit, but soon gave up.

I also did some ab crunches and weights (dumb bell extension and curls).

And as a reward, DH and I went to Panera for fontega chicken panini and iced green tea. I only ate half my panini...

but for dessert...

I feel like a stuffed turkey.

Glad you were able to get some exercise in - hopefully you'll be back out running in no time. Frontega chicken is my favorite at Panera too!
