It's been great catching up to all the activity on my favorite blogs. You've been busy beavers! It'll take me ages to get caught up on everything I've missed, but I'm inching along and will eventually get there, I'm sure.
Finally totalled my running distance for 2010: 1700 or thereabouts. This includes about 3 weeks worth of pool running. Add the swimming, biking, hiking and strength training, and I'm quite content, workout-wise.
Resolution Run 2011 - Hillsborough, NJ - Saturday, January 1
My decision to run this race had nothing to do with resolutions. I just wanted to own the cool hoody they were giving out. So much that I signed up for the race more than a month in advance, something I almost never do. And funnily enough, I'm sort of getting to enjoy 5Ks. There, I said it! Shocking, I know, but I had to document it, or I'm afraid I won't believe it a few months from now.
Given that all I've been posting the last few months have been race reports, I won't bore you with detail. But I have to tell you, I didn't feel like a dying duck during the race...I actually breathed, survived...and PRed!!! 20:34:66, 6:37 pace - 11/521 overall, 3/285 women and 1/32 in my age category. If you're in NJ this time next year, you should do this race. The hoody is really neat!

20:34! That's seriously amazing. Goal for 2011 - sub: 20:11?
I have to confess, I would do pretty much anything for a hoodie...
A PR and a cool hoody- that's great! Nice way to start the year. Also congrats on your mileage for last year!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Terrific PR! 1700 miles? More than I've ever done. Rock on.
Good grief, woman! A 6:37 pace?!
You're scaring me not a little with that speediness. Can you send some my way, pretty please?
Nice pace! Woohoo!
Sorry I've been a bit out of the loop, but I'm glad to read that you're doing so well!
It was a great race, AND a great hoodie! Best way to start the New Year!
